Bloomington Jefferson High School
Contractor: Kraus Anderson Construction
In the Summer of 2013, Bloomington schools remodeled Jefferson High School. The school district hired Kraus Anderson Construction to manage the construction project which included major renovations to the competition gymnasium court. The bleachers were removed and replaced with a new state of the art bleacher system designed and installed by Anderson Ladd. The bleacher replacement project was managed by Anderson Ladd.
The electrically operated bleachers were engineered by Anderson Ladd to be mezzanine and floor loaded for easy ingress and egress to the seating areas. The three bank bleacher system created an intimate, stadium appeal with mezzanine access and viewing. Built in safety and code features include aisle, end and front railings, ADA access, closed deck, and heavy duty undercarriage structure. Custom colors and logos were added to match school colors. The project was like most school renovation projects – it had to be started and completed in a very small window of time in order to minimize gym facility downtime.
